Young Curators

The Zillman Museum of Art is pleased to offer the Young Curators program to high school students. In this program, students get a behind the scenes look at the inner workings of an art museum. The Young Curators meet one afternoon a week during the spring. Participants select art work from ZAM’s permanent collection for the summer exhibitions. Young Curators develop a theme for their show, research and write didactic materials for Museum patrons and present their work at the Member’s Preview opening reception. Participants also meet with all members of the staff to learn about museum careers.

There is no cost to join the Young Curators but participants are selected through an application process as space is limited.   The application requires a short essay and teacher recommendation.

To learn more about Young Curators or to request an application, or brochure contact Museum Staff at 581.3300.
