About the Instructor:
Lisa Scofield has been braiding traditional rugs for ten years, she uses new wool and clean, recycled wool clothes. Her work has been exhibited at Bagel Central in Bangor, Camden Public Library, Thomaston Cafe, and the Common Ground Fair in Unity, Maine. Her next exhibit will be at Bagel Central in Bangor in February 2013. She does work on commission and rug repairs. Her rugs are in homes in Washington State, Cape Cod, Providence, Rhode Island, as well as coastal and central Maine.

Lisa teaches English at Hampden Academy and enjoys listening to the stories each rug holds. As she travels throughout the region displaying rugs she gets to hear people’s very personal accounts of their rugs that are passed down from generation to generation.
