Zillman Art Museum – University of Maine Selected Down East Editor’s Pick for Best Museum

 

Bangor, ME – The Zillman Art Museum was named Best Art Museum in Down East magazine’s annual Best of Maine issue. From shopping to eating to playing outdoors, Down East readers and editors selected their statewide favorites this year and ZAM made the list.

Winners of the “Best of Maine” awards are selected for one of two categories: the Reader’s Choice or the Editor’s Choice. Ideas for the annual Editor’s Choice Best of Maine Down East are collected throughout the year as the magazine’s editors and contributors travel the state. The Reader’s Choice nominees are identified and voted on by thousands of Down East readers each year. Individual categories include Food & Drink, Shopping & Lifestyle, Travel & Play, Arts &Culture, and Home & Garden.

ZAM Executive Director and Curator George Kinghorn states, The Zillman Art Museum is delighted to receive this wonderful designation. ZAM offers a dynamic array of contemporary art exhibitions each year for citizens and visitors to our beautiful state. We hope our visitors enjoy our five new galleries featuring nationally-significant artists.
