Carson discusses her creative practice and offers insights on her large-scale sculptures and works on paper that were on view in Wood Nymphs, her solo-exhibition at ZAM.

JoAnne Carson was born in New York City and currently splits her time between Brooklyn, New York and Shoreham, Vermont. Her work is represented in various public collections including the Brooklyn Museum, Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, Sheldon Museum of Art, among others. Carson is Distinguished Professor of Studio Art and Graduate Director, Art and Art History at the University of Albany.
